Cosmos Organic - ECOCERT
The COSMOS-standard was founded by BDIH, Cosmebio, Ecocert, ICEA the Soil Association and is managed by a not-for-profit. The standard defines the criteria that companies must meet to ensure consumers that their products are genuine organic or natural cosmetics. Ecocert is a certification body founded in 1991. They certify brands and products against various standards, mainly focusing on organic credentials but have incorporated other standards, mainly focusing on environmentally and socially responsible practices.
